|
About time, the Metanoya's 2nd album "The Raving Loony Will Now Take Your Questions" is in the factory getting pressed & here are the mp3s of the final mastered versions. For most of us there's not a lot of new material, it's seems to be mainly a collection of all their recordings from the last 4 years peiced together on one CD so they can actually be sold as a tool in their outreach.
A lot of these songs already exist on the radio as live recordings: "Stuffed & Glutted", "Raving Loony", the old Family classic "Awake Too Late", "Alice in the Magic Garden" & an old recording of "Alone in The Dark". A live version of "Veni Vidi Vici--Metanoya" can almost be heard on Youtube from the Wordstock site.
Other than that "Veni Vidi Vici--Metanoya" is new to this radio as well as "I'm a Wannabe", "Levons Nos Verres" (french) & "What Good Did You Do?"

Of course. I was just always jealous about Metanoya and their talent and being on the Zine back in the day.
That's what spurred me on to get going with music.
Aheeeeeeeee!
Ok I need a drink. |

Yeh it was mastered by a non fam studio where they also did the cd printing/labelling etc. There was a place to download it (a link Peter gave me) but the link would be gone by now. Though as Neo mentioned the tracks are all still at 320k... and as for the volume tinkering you can put it back to where it was (about 5 more dbs) without changing quality using this lil program:

wraf, you should seriously consider putting up a sort of disclaimer regarding the volumization of the songs on the front page or something... _________________ music leave me breatheless and bare... |

I agree. A lot of people actually download their music from the glitch (thats a good thing, the glitch has a lot of songs not carried anywhere else.) But all Neo's links go to the glitch...and people are downloading off Neo's page as well... I think It's good, GBY man, It a great radio. BUT I think people need to read a little something like
"Songs downloaded from the radio have volume optimized for the radio, and are NOT at the original file volume. DOWNLOADING of tracks for listening offline should be done directly from the artist webpage, If possible, For your's and the artist's sake. The Files on the glitch radio have been tampered to give you a smooth radio experience, But should only be downloaded If you
1: Don't have the link to the original song
2: Do not care.
This will ensure that your off-line song collection is as the artist's intended. |

No fears Neo... It's constructive criticism in attempts to ignite improvements that I've already admitted are needed. But while in this world everything is possible.. not everything is available.
I'm working on getting the cd covers up...
The radio "volume issue" solutions are a bit beyond my capabilities... Either we need that "perfect world" radio that we always dreamed of. As well as me being able to monitor it as at least a half time job...
Or having all the musicians keeping their music on online on their own servers. Whereever it was they posted their music in the first place. And not taking them down. |
